Katvig

Isn't this top just gorgeous! Well its actually a wee bodysuit. I am seriously considering it for Nevie. I have always been frustrated by the selection of boys clothes you get in this country and Finn had a lot of Katvig as a consequence. Funnily enough when I was looking through the boxes of his clothes for things that Nevie could wear I found lots of Katvig and Mini Rodini which are 'properly' unisex- Hurrah! You can always rely on the Scandi's to do kids clothes well. I get mine from Nordic Kids- you should check it out they have a great range of stuff.

Rainy Tuesday

I don't work Tuesdays, so its always a busy fun day with the bubbas. Today was so, so wet- so we were in most of the afternoon. We played, we cooked Estofado via Bluebird Vintage blog for tea, we made a collage for Finn's nursery of his favourite things, and we found homes for the kids new glass animals (found in a charity shop at the weekend). Its definitely changing seasons this week- I can see the leaves blowing around the garden as I write!

Dusk over Glasgow

This is the view over the city from our bedroom window. It was dusk at the end of last week and an amazing sky- I just got round to uploading it now. I was just a wee bit late for the most amazing colours while I got the kids down. This was what was left when I ran upstairs- and its not too shabby a sight.

Frances Bean

Isn't she beautiful? I came across these images last night. Being a child of grunge, her parents music is really important to me. I was and will always be the biggest Courtney apologist.

I had always felt the weight of expectation, probably negative, on this girl. Thats why I was so happy to see these pictures. She looks in control, self contained- I love the look, the ink and the attitude.

Via Chronicles of Naurnie- pics by Hedi Slimane find here.

New Cup!

The top cup is a recent Ebay purchase that arrived today- I thought it was a mug but it is actually a wee tea cup. Oh well, its a nice design and was pennies, so its added to the collection!

Ferm Living

Sorry its yet another post about something I love! I promise I will get back to my own escapades soon.

Ferm Living is a Danish company that I have been watching for a while now. They do some fantastic bedside tables like little houses that attach to the wall- and also some amazing wallpaper, posters and objects. Not only do I love the Nordic colour palate of these candle holders I also love that the idea behind them came from the Disney cartoon 'Lady and the Tramp'.- 'In one of the famous scenes, Lady and the Tramp share a candlelit dinner at Tony's. On the table you see a winebottle with a candle in it. We wanted to recreate the "candle in a bottle" feel with a twist. So we twisted some wood and played with different colour combinations'.

I think its great that they are wood made to look like the student staple candle holder!
You can find all their lovely goodness here.
