Random Selection of Dinner Plates

So my husband looking in the cupboard asked 'are we acquiring a random selection of dinner plates now....'.
Yes was the only answer. Who could say no to these two beauties and under a pound each.  Not me that's for sure!

Isn't the first one quite 'Biba' esque?

Top one is 'Westbury Denbyware' and the bottom one is 'Kilncraft'.

  2. Love them! Why have one pattern when you can have loads? Matching is very over-rated! x

    1. Me too Rachel- I will continue the hunt! My old set of 'sort of' matching Kiln Craft have not survived the dishwasher very well and I could do with a few extras! Hope all well with you, Jxx

  4. Oh, that first plate!!! Be still my beating heart. My parents had that entire dinner service, it was their wedding present when they married in 1975. They no longer have it, and gave it away years ago before I could get my sticky mitts on it! That plate takes me right back to my suburban childhood.

And there is nothing wrong with a random selection of plates. :-)

    1. Oh Gillian I am glad it reminded you of your folks plates- Mine had the nice but much less groovy Hornsea Saffron. This would have been amazing as a dinner set, I am off to google it and see what the rest looked like. Thanks for letting me know that. I love it the best- what are my chances on finding more!! Hope you are good this week, Jxx
